RCOS 16 inch "Horizon" Carbon Tube Telescope...

The 16 inch Horizon Carbon Tube Telescope is a "lite" version of the Ruggedized telescopes (shown below) designed and built by RCOS with excellent pointing accuracy from 20 degrees below the Horizon to the Zenith.

All RCOS telescopes are designed, engineered and modeled in SolidWorks 2009.

  • 16 inch Cassegrain (Custom Optical Prescription) using Zero Expansion Astro-Sitall optics certified to at least 1/4 wave P-V and 1/25th wave RMS.
  • Supporting Fringe Analysis and interferometric data supplied with each optical set.
  • Two mirror system with a spectral range from 100nm to 20 Microns.
  • "Semi-Ruggedized" with superb performance from 20 degrees below the the Horizon to the Zenith.
