RCOS Shipping Crate, Construction, and Packing...

Here are some detailed photos of how your telescope will be packed. These crates can be custom made for every RCOS Ritchey-Chretien Telescope we ship.

Each crate is custom made for each telescope. They are then lined with foam for a perfect fit. This is a custom f/17 16RC Open Truss that will be shipped to a mountain top on Cerro Tololo, Chile.

We position the scope in every orientation and pack with more foam to eliminate any play during shipping.

Foam is added to the top and then the plywood lid is screwed into place.

Then we wrap the crate with steel strapping.

We ship fully assembled 24RCs World Wide in these crates.
